Dr. Julia F. Keaton-McCormick*
Third President
1970 - 1978
Dr. Julia Frances Keaton McCormick served as our esteemed third president from 1970 to 1978, embodying valor and strength in her leadership. Much like our founder, she envisioned a transformative space dedicated to preserving our legacy, facilitating learning, and fostering community. Under her guidance, the concept of a comprehensive library for study and a versatile facility for seminars, retreats, and educational classes began to take shape.
In 1972, with unwavering commitment and thoughtful planning, Dr. McCormick initiated the ambitious project to establish a national headquarters facility. Recognizing the challenges faced by our youth in their pursuit of excellence, she implemented vital programs that provided substantial scholarships and financial assistance, ensuring these resources were presented as gifts rather than loans. Her strategic vision and deep understanding of the needs of our community allowed the mission of our founder to flourish and evolve, creating a lasting impact for future generations.
