A Letter of Gratitude

May the LORD now show you kindness and faithfulness, and I too will show you the same favor because you have done this. 2 Samuel 2:6

The passing of my mother and then a week later my father, I was just totally devastated and overwhelmed with grief. The mental state one feel is indescribable. I felt like the rug had just been pulled out from under me. Having the sisterhood of International Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows there in spirit and daily prayers, was an incredibly generous act of true friendship. Because of your acts of kindness and love shown through phone calls, cards of comfort, letters, love offerings, plants and flowers sent, on the day of the funerals I felt more mentally and emotionally prepared to get through the most difficult time in my life. I am sincerely thankful for your thoughtfulness, support and genuine outpouring of love.

Our parents lived a God fearing life and emulated the example of agape love to all. Their strength, leadership in the church and community service provided a roadmap of their expectation of us. We continue to carry their legacy in our hearts and exhibit them in our daily interactions with those that cross our path.

With Sincere Gratitude
